  1. Because of the way that this soundscape was posted I was never able to find out what emotion the song was made for. However, right away I assumed that the feeling was eerie or terror. Within in the first 15 seconds of the soundscape the heavy beating of wet footsteps on the ground begins to manipulate the sense of space. The sounds at the end of the soundscape are a combination of many instruments and specifically the pitch and the changing intensity alludes to the sense of space. The audience is aware that a person is running, however we are unaware of why they are running and why they need to be running. The labored breathing with the running footsteps leads into the sound of the gunshot and makes the audience believe that a person is being chased, once again manipulating the sense of space. At one point during the soundscape I even jumped because I was taken by surprise by a shot, which shows that this song was successful in creating a definite emotion. The breathing, running and the gunshot are the main source of manipulation for the sense of time. The soundscape starts off quickly with the idea of a chase scene and is carried out to the middle of the song. After the gunshot there are footsteps, but it seems as if they are from another person. The chosen sounds created a definite timeline that was able to collaborate with the emotion.

  2. My bad MacKenzie I forgot to post the emotion. It was anxiety.

  3. Even though the emotion isn't posted in the initial post when I first listened to it I was leaning towards anxiety as the emotion, and then the other comment confirmed it. This is a very well done sound scape to convey anxiety. The footsteps in the background and the sound of the heart beat really help give a sense of anxiety to the song. Then the swirling noises come in, which, along with the frenzied breathing of the person, really help add to the tension of the situation. It creates a sense of time and a feeling that the person is trying to escape from someone or something along with a sense of space from the footsteps and the swirling ambient noises. Then finally the heartbeat quickens and the tension reaches its peak where it is released by a single gunshot.
